 Finland and India to interact and cooperate in the filed of telemedicine and biotechnology

Meria heikela, Leader of Finpro’s global industry team said that Telemedicine and biotechnology are the two important potential areas of cooperation between Finland and India. Ms. Heikela talked to a gathering of Industry representatives at an interaction organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Heikela said that about 90% of medical equipment produced in Finland was exported mostly to other European nations. As part of the Tamilnadu Health systems Project, focus would be given to non-communicable diseases. Biomedical waste management was another thrust area. M. Ct. P. Chidambaram, Consul for Finland, expressed the hope that there would be greater interaction between the business communities of the two countries.
